The two above-mentioned pages gathered quite a bit of attention, mainly via StumbleUpon, and some of the regular visitors to TheTrukstoP.com have been asking for a while whether I was going to do an Episode III. With the 30th anniversary coming up this week, it seems like the right time to do it.
As with the last lists, there's a variety of pictures that I've selected: awesome compositions, humorous images, and others. Click on the pics for the full sizes. Here we go:
It is clear now exactly what the true motivations behind Darth Vader's Jedi Purge actually were to begin with. I found this pic when I was digging through the web searching for images to use for the Nine Funniest School Photos page.
8. This is why TK-421 was not at his post
Picture says it all, really.
7. Ewok Into Mordor
We're all familiar with the O RLY owl and the IM IN UR PC cats that end up popping up on message boards and sites like Fark... but there was a ^"One does not simply walk into Mordor" meme phase as well. Reminds me a little of Randy's diatribe on the "best trilogy ever" from Clerks II.
6. Bart Skywalker
The crew behind The Simpsons, as well as Simpsons fans, have come up with some great Simpsons meets Star Wars images over the years. This pic is one of my faves and originally came out around the time the first teaser poster for Episode I first surfaced.
This picture is either one of two things. Vader and the 501st picking up a few items on the way to the Death Star; or Darth popping in to give his brother Chad Vader a hard time.
2. Vader Philips
At last - the secrets of lightsaber manufacturing are revealed. This is an oldie but a goodie.
1. The Sith Lord of the Matrix
Another Worth1000.com contest entry, this one made by AdonisBronze for the Triple Cliche Heck contest: a contest where entrants had to combine elements from multiple different films into one. This one rated high on the list, and I've included it here simply because Gollum in Darth Maul tattoos creeps me out more than either of the characters on their own. "You hear that, Precious? That is the sound of inevitibility." I'm a big fan of all of the work over at Worth1000.com - be sure to go over and check out all the cool stuff there.
