The History and Evolution of Digg
as depicted by crappy t-shirt designs
August 24, 2007

Digg in mid-2006 When Digg initially surfaced online, it was primarily a news web site for tech geeks, interested in following the current developments and changes in the industry. It became a refuge in a way; where all geeks from across the planet could unite and explode with their love for Apple or Linux and their disparagement for the world of Microsoft.

But with all websites comes evolution and development, and Digg eventually became inclusive of not just tech news, but ALL news. A new Digg was born into a world of current affairs and political thought intermeshed with the already present tech news and the odd, yet satisfactorily and intelligently placed meme.

Today, however, is a different time. Digg now is inundated with image stories and LOLcat fans. It is still a great site, but has had an extraordinarily interesting history when you think about it. I present you with the saga and progression of Digg since 2004 as depicted by crappy t-shirt designs.
