Our last article on Universal Day of the Jedi focused on the happenings and the releases coinciding with the 30th anniversary. Recently, it had also been announced that the History Channel was going to be showing a documentary entitled The Legacy Revealed on Memorial Day. The show will apparently document the impact the saga has had over the years.
Secrets revealed in The Making of Star Wars:
I remember back in 1999 when Episode I came out, and there were many fanboys that openly criticized the concepts of midichlorians, and the fact that C-3PO was rebuilt and repaired by Anakin - these new fandangled ideas just didn't fit in with their vision of Star Wars. Well, in the new book, The Making of Star Wars, apparently there are some handwritten notes made by Lucas in his planning for the original Star Wars during the 1970's - indicating his plans for 3PO to be built by "a young boy working for a junk dealer", and midichlorians. New Star Wars Movies? No:
There have been a few news items floating around the internet over the last week stating that George Lucas has announced two new Star Wars movies. It couldn't be further from the truth. It stems from a news report in which Lucas was discussing aspects of the live-action series - the reporter misunderstood the discussion as an announcement of two new films. Besides, if there were going to be new Star Wars films, there would be three, not two...
